On the initiative of the Observatory Workshop, the GREENHOUSE will be installed in the Arab League Park (Casablanca) for its 9th edition, from 2 to 4 and from 8 to 11 December 2022.

The Horizonta Greenhouse raises questions about art history research in the Maghreb. Who is telling the story? What are the marginalised, unexplored research spaces? How do we teach art to our children? Who are the great figures of modern and contemporary art in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia? Who are the forgotten, invisible figures? What does this history of art, its omissions and its shortcomings, tell us about ourselves? Horizonta seeks to develop an approach that embraces the Maghreb as a regional space for creation and shared artistic reflection.

Meetings, workshops, artistic works and curatorial research on contemporary art in the Maghreb will be carried out and presented to the public in order to reflect on the role of art as an emancipatory tool and perhaps unite a common regional vision?

Philosophy for children: What is an artist? What is a work of art? Discussions and debates for children on art, its great figures, its history.

Stories for children: Awareness workshop and discovery of art for children through storytelling.
